Blogger is acting "spooky"...Lets see the pictures!

I am so mad. I can not post pictures on this blog no matter what I do! I tried to contact blogger and easier to call the President than find a way to reach them. Then you post the question and you get responses like this was your "first" time posting ever...duh I have done this successfully I might add. So the problem is the code pops up in the box no picture! Anyone have any ideas? Any how....

Japan C exhibit

Everyday I walk by what used to be Fellissisimo a beautiful old mansion that used to house candles and different pretty home decor items and on the 4th floor they had the prettiest tea lounge. It closed down a while ago but for a while there has been a Japanese exhibit called "Japan C". It is art but also buyers can place orders for the products. I was told that the last week of October whatever is there they will sell.... after you look at the pictures try to guess what I will buy! Sweet.... If you fill out 2 questionnaires they let you pick 2 free gifts. I am all about the free. I took a cute heart necklace on a cord and they gave you this metal tray with a lid and dividers. Pretty interesting and very different, but hey we are in NYC!

Dinner with My Cousin

My Cousin Rosy works in NYC but lives in New Jersey with her husband and 2 beautiful little girls. We grew up close like sisters we lived close and her mom passed away with breast cancer when she was 16. Last time I saw them all was August and I have not had dinner alone with my cousin on a Friday night since before she was married 6 years ago. When she was single Me Rosy and 1 of my other cousins Sandra would go to this small restaurant called Angels on 1st and 63rd in NYC. I love "angels" and collected them for a while, the decor was simple, looked like Christmas with the trees and wreaths and lights along with all the Angels. Huge plates of pasta great bread and we were always happy...yes and all 3 were super duper skinny eating this. So that is where Rosy felt like eating so off we went for some girl chatter.

So As both our luck/no luck has it Angels was closed! Are the joking? Nope That is Rosy reading the sign that says 5 weeks the old owner will open somewhere down the block. It will not be "Angels"! So what now? We wanted comfort of a simpler time when we were young and carefree...lol.

So we went to a "Family Style" restaurant called Tony Di Napoli at 82nd and 3rd Avenue. We sat in an open corner ordered a bottle of Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio wine and ate and chatted and chatted and drank! Yes we drank the whole bottle just the 2 of us. We definitely have to do this at least every 2 months. No dessert, there was no room but we did have the best Cappuccino!

Food Network Event

The Food Network had it's first New York City Wine & Food Festival. It is usually held in Miami Florida. It was so much fun. I walked around the Food Network building (originally was the Nabisco Biscuit Company from 1898 to 1958).
I didn't want to stand in a long line for an autographed Bobby Flay book so as I was walking by I said hi Bobby he waved and I took the picture. Later as I was going to meet my friend for a Tyler Florence demonstration and I see Bobby again and he said hi and I asked if I could take a picture with him and we hurried because he was done and had to leave and we did not want to get a flood of people charging at him! So look he took the picture he was eating gellatto and then ran in his limo...yes women caught on and were running towards us!

Bobby Flay carved pumpkin
I met my friend Marlene and we watched an hour demo of Tyler Florence demo.
4 people auctioned to sit up on stage and eat his dinner they made $750 to donate to charity.. Wow Tim Holtz got alot more for the shirt off his back at Creative Escape! But I hear it was Yummy and worth it and the smell was awesome.
