Pink Saturday Favorite Ornaments

This week Beverly of How Sweet the Sound our Pink Saturday Hostess asked us to show a favorite ornament and tell why it was so special. Well, I have a bunch of special ornaments from my grandfather who loved to decorate for Christmas, and the little red elf that my mom purchased when we moved to America when I was 3. How funny that all these years later they sell "Elf on a Shelf" along with a book! Every year I put my grandfathers ornaments in a huge glass bowl and some just display in the boxes, I love the old vintage boxes. The Pink ornament that is alone he bought me when I was 5 and every year I would be "allowed" to place it on his tree. He took so much pride in his ornaments and tree decorating. If there was a little opening in the tree he would grab branches from the bottom and notch a little of the trunk and fix it up to be the most magical tree ever! Happy Holidays may all your memories and traditions be magical.

Go visit Beverly and read some wonderful posts!

  1. Grace! How wonderful to have these special ornaments. And I have little elves like yours. They were from my mother's tree. Loved the story about your grandfather. That is so neat! And I love all of your vintage beauties.

    Happy Pink Saturday from Florida...
