Pink Saturday ShoeWoo

I was looking around the City for some Pink Saturday inspiration and saw this fun shoe store called ShoeWoo. It is located on 59th and Lexington Avenue across the Street from Bloomingdales. The display was adorable a maniquin in a "Pink" bathtub with a "Pink" tree and surrounded by "Pink" cakes! Around the inside of the store there were big shoe displays and a column surounded by white shoes. When you go up to the Woo Attic you pass a "Pink" wall with shoe art and the attic has a painted "Pink" rug and a "Pink" door! There are so many store Christmas displays with "Pink" in them.
It is fun just walking around looking for "Pinks"...Beverly from How Sweet the Sound is our "Pink Saturday" Hostess and if you go to her blog you must say hi and visit all the many "Pink" filled Blogs! Have a Great Pink Saturday!

Pink Saturday - Anthropologie Pinks

Happy Pink Saturday to all! Ok I posted about Anthropologie a few weeks ago but they decorated their windows for Christmas and I walked by and screamed "PINK"! That car was covered with pink plaid lined fabric all over even on the wheels...so I said to myself, "self go inside look for Pinks for Beverly from How Sweet the Sound's Pink Saturday Post". See what I do for Pink Saturday? LOL! I wanted to use this the Saturday after Thanksgiving but could not hold this in any longer...I hope you do not mind I also posted Christmas ornaments and decor they were selling and they were not Pink. I hope you have fun and also visit Beverly and see what other great Pink Saturday blog posts are out there, there are many!

Rockefeller Center Tree Has Arrived!

I was rushing to a conference for my job and had to stop and see the arival of this beautiful "Tree". It is a tradition for me and I could not miss it. After the conference was done I was feeling so sick and passed to see if they had put the "Tree" in it's spot before I went home and it had!

This year's tree is a 76 foot Norway spruce from the home of school teacher from Easton, Connecticut. The 10 ton tree was cut on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, and made the 50 mile journey from Easton, CT to Rockefeller Center in New York City.
Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting, December 2, 2009, through the years they have made this ceremony biggiger and bigger with lots of famous acts. I have gone so many times but find that watching at home with a group of dear friends is a great way to celebrate the Holiday Season and the lighting of this beautiful "Tree".

Pink Saturday...in the City

Happy Pink Saturday Ladies! I had to use Teuscher Chocolate Shop in Rockefeller Center in NYC because they are taking down all the pretty pink and Monday will have Holiday decor. They are made in Switzerland and the boxes and decor are exquisite. Every week a new shipment is delivered to the store. It is so pretty and dainty I love all the paper flowers and tulle all around the store. Enjoy the pictures and if you come to New York it is a must to see!

Please go visit Beverly from "How Sweet The Sound" and visit her blog and all the lovely ladies and their wonderful blogs and see all their Pink Saturday goodies..

This cute glitter wreath was $4.99 at Pottery Barn. Yes it was! I just really need to bring it outside and shake the messy glitter off and then add some vintage homes and pink and blue ribbons? I promise to show you when I am done.

Pink Saturday - Nashville Pink Bus Tour

I couldn't wait for this week to share my Nash Trash Bus Tour. When I saw the Pink Big Bus I couldn't stop giggling. I have never laughed so hard, the Jugg Sisters were so funny and so proud to be "white trash". (I am quoting them and read their website they say that) They are so lovely and this is such a spoof on themselves and they even say Nashville is not proud of them but it is cute and just fun. They serve the Fanciest Cheese Hors D'Oeuvres - very classy cheese and crackers and you can bring your own wine if you choose just be prepared to share... I hope that if ever in Nashville you will visit these 2 very talented very beautiful sisters and tour parts of the city you never would think of like the local jail where the best Country Music was written!

Anthropologie - Vintage Dream Room

I love Anthropologie in Rockefeller Center in NYC. They have this "concept" room and they decorate it beautifully. Once it was Marie Antoinette Dress all made from paper. It was outrageously beautiful. I walked in and saw this pretty vintage dressing room or it could be a rented room from years ago. I just love all the vintage finds and little nooks and crannies. I just stood in there dreaming of the life the woman who lived here had! I asked a few sales people the "story" but they did not know I wrote to "corporate" to see if they knew and no answer yet. As soon as I know I will let you know...but in the meantime close your eyes and dream of the woman in that room.....I say she was a fun, sassy, elegant gal!

A Christmas Carol Train

Disney's A Christmas Carol 3-D Movie starts November 6, 2009; starring Jim Carey. On Friday night I went to Grand Central Station at Gate 37 where the "Christmas Carol" train was parked for 3 days only. On the train you walked through and they had some costumes, snippets of the movie, a section where they do stunts and special effect and turn them 3-D, a place where you can morph your face; I was Scrooge but they have not e-mailed me my picture, models of Big Ben Scrooges House and the Bank, and at the end a beautiful Dickens setting of fireplace and a gorgeous set table with turkey and fixings and Carolers singing. It put me in the Christmas mood!
