Cheryl's Secret Garden Party with an Indian Flair

In April of this year I met several lovely ladies that are now "fabulous" friends and "Craft" sisters! Cheryl from Monmouth Antiques has a garden party every year and invited Me and several of our craft sisters along with her lovely other friends that she has invited every year. First of all she is a big hearted warm loving person and has a beautiful home and garden, but she decorated everything so perfect. She draped sari's (Indian dresses), used as table clothes, made beautiful centerpieces with birds and butterfly's on silver painted tree branches, Indian music played in the background, incense burning, our pictures were our seating cards and the food and company were fabulous! There was enough food to feed the whole state of New Jersey. We had a scavenger hunt that had us all scattered through the beautiful garden. After we ate Cheryl gave direction of a cute box we were to decorate to make our own "Secret Garden". She had a table filled with supplies but everyone also brought there own. It was so much fun to see these tiny white boxes transform into "Secret Gardens". One had bubbles a lamp a music box and lots of love (last picture on the bottom, one had an Alice in Wonderland theme with the Red Queen behind a door, Mine started Pink but I did not finish but will post soon! We started at 10:00 AM and left Cheryl's at 6:00 PM! Thanks Cheryl for the friendship and the invite your Secret Garden was filled with love and joy. Girlfriends are the best medicine xoxox

Vintage Seaside Shadowbox Swap

I was in Sarah the Gypsy Mermaid's "Vintage Seaside Shadowbox" swap and Rochelle from "Southern Girl Northern Woman" blog was my lovely swap partner. We were both a little late then we both had shipping issues as to Rochelle is from Canada and it is very difficult to send anything to and from. Sometimes it is faster than others. I enjoyed e-mailing Rochelle and loved all the goodies she sent me and her Shadowbox is so pretty and is sitting in my craft room. I only posted both our shadowboxes but will take pictures soon of the other goodies she sent me. Thank you Rochelle and Sarah for a wonderful swap! xoxox

Trailer Park Lounge in NYC

I went with my great friend Sarah to a pilot game show taping of Emeril's game show, hopefully to be picked up by a network. It was a very long day and after the show we went to Eat at Trailer Park Lounge! Oh my it was such a fun kitschy filled place! It was a flea market altered art craft collector gone mad in this place! It all fit and we had a wonderful time! The food is just random kids boxed comfort food served in baskets and paper plates. If you ever get a chance you have to visit this really fun place...
