Halloween Sights in NYC

This year some New York City Stores got into the Halloween spirit and decorated their windows in different ways from fun whimsical, to elegant chic. I also went to a Spooky fun Restaurant with my nieces...don't be frightened keep reading below......

The first window was at Dylan's Candy Bar at 1011 Third Avenue @ 60th Street right behind Bloomingdale's Department Store. I just adored this cute Skeleton!

My nieces wanted a Halloween evening so first we went to Jekyll & Hyde Club for dinner. It is opened all year long and they have a wonderful haunted house also. You enter through a black telephone booth and then the scary begins. It is a haunted theatrical theme restaurant where the walls are bookcases and you never know when they will move and what is behind them. There are 2 headed Girls (dolls) that move and say things and so much spooky decor, just perfect for a October Halloween evening! Then off to Phantom of the Opera we went. It is a wonderful play.

Bergdorf Goodman got into the Halloween Spirit? Yes! Artist Mark Gagnon did a fabulous job with his whimsical sculptures. I spotted Marie Antoinette and I smiled I just love her pink dress and coiffed up hair. Bergdorf Goodman is on Fifth Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets.

Oh Ralph Lauren How I adore your class and sophistication even for Halloween! What else can I say these windows are black masquerade genius....an elegant witch? Ralph Lauren Flagship store is at 888 Madison Avenue @ 72nd Street.

Ghouls, Ghost and Glamour Girls Swap

I joined a Swap and it was Great!! Our Hostesses were Jessi Nagy from Scrappy Jessi and Jenn Hayslip from   and the swap was Ghouls, Ghost and Glamour Girls. At first I did not answer because there was Jewelry involved and I "DON'T" make jewelry. I have lots of talented friends that do and I am always in awe but I do not. Then I went back and read it again and focused, ha and saw that I could purchase jewelry! Ok I have this I can join. Want to know who my partner was??? Jennifer Hayslip from "Eye Candy Creations" .  Jenn made me the sweetest witch and black cat sweater clip (look at her beautiful daughter modeling it on her blog) and lots of great gifts! I found a great Halloween glamour necklace for Jenn and other fun gifts. I made a Glamour Girl Witch box to place it in. Funny but I had seen the necklace and thought "oh if I would ever get Jenn I would get her this necklace" and poof I got her. lol Thank you ladies for such a fun swap! Happy Halloween

Blogger Friend Visits NY Lunch at Laduree Soho

My wonderful Blogger friend Sasha - Saucy from "Saucy's Sprinkles" came to New York with her Husband and I was blessed that I got to spend an afternoon with her. Sasha is an incredible baker and can re-create anything and we had discussed to go to lunch but also visit Laduree on Madison Avenue, so I figured Laduree Soho to sit and have lunch was much more fun. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere was stupendous! It was so lovely to sit there and catch up like we were life long friends, yet only blogger friends till that point. As we caught up we saw so many beautiful outfits and shoes and bags and perfectly made up ladies who lunch. We did some shopping afterward and then back to her hotel so she could meet her husband. I so enjoy having blogging friends visit the problem is that I never want them to leave. I am truly blessed to have so many beautiful friends. Thank you Blogger!

New Polo Ralph Lauren Store on Fifth Ave NYC

Polo Ralph Lauren opened a New Store at 711 Fifth Avenue at the corner of 55th Street. This used to be  The Disney Store. I have always enjoyed the Ralph Lauren style of clothing, fresh Americana country chic. For October "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" Polo is celebrating with "The PINK Polo Fund" for early detection of Breast Cancer, research and education in under served communities. The clothes for this Fund are so cute of course with the logo being Pink Ponies I did a little shopping...all for a great cause of course!
On the second floor they have a Cafe called "Ralph's" I love the clean simple tile work and the green kitschy coffee cup logo. Genius! I work across the street so it is a wonderful escape to the hustle and bustle of Fifth Avenue. Ralph's transports you from the City to the Country where the tranquility of the lighting and lovely decor makes you want to sit by the big stone fireplace grab a Ralph Lauren Blanket and a coffee from Ralph's and relax. I am looking forward to the opening of a restaurant in the basement. What will that decor be....will let you know soon.
