Tiffany & Co. - Blue Box Cafe in NYC
Today Friday, November 10, 2017 Tiffany & Co. Opened a Cafe called "The Blue Box Cafe" on the 4th Floor. They also recently opened their "Home" department there also.
You can now have Breakfast at Tiffany's and sit inside......um let's rewind this!
Today at 8:00 AM people lined up outside waiting for the Store to open at 10:00 AM to be on the list to sit inside. At 11:00 AM there when I a mere mortal showed up thinking I would be early for lunch, was told there was no more slots for today. Wow people were actually going to sit there all day to wait and eat? To give this literally Blue "Box" credit the food I did see and smell was lovely but a croissant is a croissant and for coffee Berries and that croissant was a long long wait and price tag. They serve other food and have Breakfast, Lunch and Tea Service served on the famous Tiffany blue plates.
The 4th Floor also has a new Home department with the prettiest decor items. You can shop as you wait. What is a shame there is a bland room opposite of the Cafe which should have been used for take out items like croissants and coffee and sell cute mugs and other fun novelty items. Who is Marketing or designing this place???? I was told that "they were not expecting this amount of people". Oh Holly Golightly please go inside and speak to the man behind the desk and tell him this is serious and we all Love You and Tiffany's and not to mock us. (truthfully he was a little overwhelmed and kept saying "I understand you want to be here the first day" but truthfully he will see these crowds forever moving forward.)
When I finally get in I will share! Ta Ta Dahlings

The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze - Fall in NY
Happy Fall in NY! I went to The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze on The Historic Hudson Van Cortlandt Manor.
I did the 6:00 PM session and it was perfect! It was still light out but as I walked around it was getting darker and the same pumpkins looked so much different in the dark. The intricate details were wonderful. They were very clever in naming some displays, Tappan Zee Bridge is "Pumpkin Zee Bridge". There was even a Statue of Liberty and the Sunflower Patch was beautiful.
Sorry this is late but mark your calendars for August and sign up on the site for Van Cortlandt Manor and they will let you know when tickets go on sale. A perfect New York in Fall event.

Jeff Koons - Seated Ballerina Rockefeller Plaza NYC
Artist Jeff Koons has a beautiful Art Piece called "Seated Ballerina" at Rockefeller Plaza in NYC. She is inflated and stands at 45 Feet High. I guess you can say she is the biggest Ballerina! During bad weather "Seated Ballerina" will be deflated and re-inflated when it passes, for safety reasons. She is definitely a must see and will be here until June 2nd. Jeff Koons created this beauty to bring awareness to May, National Missing Children's Month.
Mr. Koons has designed a limited edition collectible tin with the image of "Seated Ballerina" and partnered with Kiehl's. When you purchase any item from their Midnight Recovery Collection from May 2nd to May 31st you receive this special reusable tin and 100% of the net profits from the sale during that period go to International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC).

Louis Vuitton - Jeff Koons Masters Colaboration
Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Artist Jeff Koons for a "Masters" series of Iconic artists work transformed into artful Louis Vuitton Bags. Mr. Koons has captured the Iconic Artwork and presented them in a new light to showcase them for a new interpretation. As I passed the Louis Vuitton on 57th and Fifth Avenue and see Da Vinci's Mona Lisa I cannot help but smile myself. What do you think Da Vinci would think of his Mona Lisa on a bag? I think Mona Lisa would have a huge Cheshire Cat smile. Artful Bags Include works from Da Vinci, Fragonard, Rubens, Van Gogh and Titian. What do you think? What is your favorite if any?

Yo! - Japanese Street Food in NYC
Yo! is a Japanese Street Food and Sushi place in New York City. Yo! is located at 23 West 23rd Street in the Flatiron District. I had visited a location in London and was so happy when I saw it opened in NYC. It is the cutest little place with counter style and some booth tables. This long conveyor belt has different foods that pass in front of you that you can grab yourself and eat. There are some dishes that you must place order with your server. The plates are color coded and prices run from $3.50 to $8.00. At the end of your meal they count the plates by color and work out your bill. Make sure you leave room for dessert! Obviously not the best Sushi you will have in NYC but the experience and fun you have is worth it. I loved my choices (see captions below). Oh and make sure you have some Sake, it will make your experience so much more fun. Yo! Yo! Yo! New York Style.
