Happy Pink New Year

Happy Pink New Year!
I am so grateful to be here at home typing on my blog! I fell Tueday on my way to get the bus to go to work. I appearently flew up in the air and hit my head. Wonderful people came out and called an ambulance and my parents. One major problem....the ambulance could not come down the blog because the NY Sanitation and Mayor Bloomberg screwed up royally and the streets were not plowed at all. Yes it was one of NYC and NJ top 6 blizzards but we have been through worse and nothing like this at all. So it took them a while to get me through the block they had to secure that they would not slip and drop me. AT the Hospital my parents were there when I woke up and I had the cutest best nicest best doctor ever. I walked out with a concussion and whiplash, a huge swollen side of head that is a pretty color of black red and green and pains all over but I am so not complaining. I am fine and will be fine. There were lots of people that did not make it and were not as lucky as I! So I have been looking forward to tonight to kick 2010 in the buttocks and welcome 2011! So due to pain and medication I will be home in my fuzzy Pink Chenile robe and trying to stay up to watch Ryan Seacrest and Dick Clark ring in 2011. I want to thank all my friends family and blog friends for reading and commenting, it means so much to me. I think that blogland is an amazing community.

I love the above picture that was sent to me by my bestest girlfriend Cheryl from nouveaux-portmanteau blog. I did not have any pictures to share today but promise lots of Pink next Saturday!

Sandy's Visit Part 4 - Last Day

This was on Saturday morning really early we left NYC and headed through the tunnel to NJ. Sandy was leaving and we still had 2 more important stops to make. We went to see Buddy from Cake Boss but he was not there but the rest of the crew was there working away! We picked up some pastries and headed to Parcel in Montclair where we met my friends Marlene and Cheryl and owner Nancy and wonderful helper Vanessa. They let us just take over the store and buy even things that were not even ready to be put out!! Then we ran to a cute Diner that served the best food and ate really fast and Sandy and I ran back to through the Tunnel into NYC...hellooooo traffic! Well Sandy did make it back and found some space in her suitcase for her new goodies and back to Canada. What a wonderful visit. Blog Land is so wonderful we meet the most wonderful people who wind up being wonderful friends. I am so blessed to have met Sandy!

Chelsea Market Jingle and Where Women Cook

I had to Blog about a few great things happening at Chelsea Market in NYC home of The Food Network and lots of great shops (Elenis great cupcakes and cookies)! Jingles, a Holiday indoor vendor fair. On Friday, December 10, 2010 from 2 to 5 Jo Packham will launch her new magazine "Where Woman Cook" along with The Pioneer Woman herself "Ree Drummond" who graces the cover beautifully! Inside this magazine there is so many gorgeous fun kitchens and one of my favorites is of Wendy Addison's. Grab your copy there or if you can not make it to the event, copies are already out in the bookstores and going quickly. Last night I was at Tinsel Trading and Linda and Marcia the owners were really excited about their booth at Jingles and of seeing everyone. There are lots of great artists attending and I think it will be so exciting to see everyone all in one place. I just heard that Jenny and Aaron of Everyday is a Holiday (too cute, Sallianne and Ellen of Art is You, Kecia from Lemoncolly Flights of Fancy and I am so hoping to meet if she can come Amy Tangerine!! Get out, I know! See I told you you have to come....see you there (wink wink)
