Pink Saturday - Gatsby Tiffany & Co Style

Happy Pink Saturday! Should I say Gatsby Pink Saturday? I have a few more posts of The Great Gatsby and wanted to share this one of Gatsby Jewels at Tiffany & Co. on Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, NYC.  The Great Gatsby Collection at Tiffany & Co. were featured in the movie. When I first walked past the store I was wondering how on earth did they Art Deco the Marble Walls, but as I got really close ...I mean face to wall close it was tape. Beautiful work! Tiffany's honored the Gatsby era and the movie and their jewels perfectly. The champagne bubbles in some shots are fabulous.

Beauty & Essex - Gatsby Glamour

Beauty & Essex reminds me of "The Great Gatsby". It is located at: 146 Essex Street, NYC and owned by the same "Crew" from the Stanton Social. When you check the address and see an old sign in the background and then "Beauty & Essex" over it and you see a "Pawn" shop in the storefront you think to yourself "this just can not be it"! Ha I walked in just to see the "Pawn" shop. What fun treasures. Then you walk through a huge blue door and enter BEAUTY! This location used to be M. Katz Furniture Store and now it is a Pawn Shop, Lounge - Speakeasy, and a Restaurant......Wait, there is a free champagne bar in the ladies room lounge! The food is wonderful such fun little dishes. I heard that there Sunday Brunch is wonderful. The atmosphere is fun, Party, Gatsby Glamour! Not too many restaurants have hit my "must" heart strings but this definitely did! I was planning on taking a friend and her friends but they never contacted me that they were in town..oh well will have to save it for a wonderful friend coming in June!  I am on a Gatsby kick and have a few more fun posts, so I hope you will come back! xoox

Economy Candy - in NYC

I was meeting a friend for Dinner and have not been near Delancy Street - Rivington (Downtown - NYC) in a long time and so I explored a little. Economy Candy was a treasure chest of "sweetness". Economy had just closed and I asked the cute young girl if I could just take a few quick pictures would be back another day to buy! Oh I tell you I was so glad that I could not buy anything because I would have gone nuts....not that I eat sweets but was thinking of future events I am going to and friends I could give some colorful treats to. My Favorite? The pearl colored big gumballs and of course the PINK ones.

Birthday Treasures - Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! I wanted to share some Birthday treasures my sweet friend Sandy from "Sandy's Show and Tell Blog" sent me. Sandy is a such a wonderful friend whom I met in Blog land a long time ago. She is so Creative and such a beautiful soul and feel like we are family. I actually call her my Cuggina (Cousin in Italian).  She sent me this adorably wrapped gift. The tag is made of fabric and it is a Princess Kitty Kat and the Oriental lady is a fan when you pop off her head...ahahaha I just thought of something, This is the Asian version of Marie Antoinette! I just cracked myself up. The first gift was an adorable pillow case of Kitty Kat Rumi likes to take a bath, and then my all time favorite piece of art "Charlotte Head" Birthday Banner. I decided she is staying out all year long because she is beautiful. I will share some more birthday goodies during the week. Thank you my Cuggina!! xoox

Laduree at Uniqlo NYC

Walk up the "Pink" UNIQLO steps to a Laduree T-Shirt Shop! UNIQLO is a Japanese casual designer, manufacturer and retailer that opened in Hiroshima in 1984. UNIQLO in the winter has the most colorful and  great priced cashmere sweaters for women and men. Sort of like an American H&M without the accessories and flashy clothing. Personally I believe there are now way too many in NYC. The first and only one was in SOHO for years. If tourists would come visit they would want to visit the SOHO store. It was a Pilgrimage! Back to Macaroons and Laduree.... UNIQLO's displays are adorable and fun. Their stairs light up from white to blue to Pink. As you walk up the Pink stairs there are so many fun Laduree T-Shirts! Picked some up for friends.
