Art on Park Avenue

So much fun art this summer on Park Avenue in NYC. The Nohra Haime Gallery has a beautiful exhibit of some of Niki De Saint Phalle's Sculptures on Park Avenue from 52nd Street to 60th Street in New York City. Ms. Haime was a famous Sculptor, Painter and Film Maker. She passed away in 2002 but left so much to the art world for all to enjoy. These wonderful pieces will be on display through November 15, 2012.
Below are Aluminum and Copper Foil Art Sculptures created by the late John Chamberlain at the plaza in front of the Seagram Building at 375 Park Avenue, NYC. (Please Scroll down for more on this)

These Sculptures are made from Silver, Green or Copper colored industrial Aluminum. They grace the plaza in front of the Seagram Building at 375 Park Avenue. The exhibit is put on by the Gagosian Gallery.

Pink Saturday - Pink Goodies

Happy Pink Saturday! I was shopping in a cute little specialty market that just recently opened and went straight for the PINK! lol  I have to say that these are 2 of my "new" favorite items. The Crepe is all natural and I make them small and fill with fruit. I have also made savory crepes filled with grilled chicken a little goat cheese and arugula salad. Girard's Raspberry Walnut Vinaigrette is so delicious on everything. The bottle is so elegant looking. hehe
Please hop on over and visit our Pink Saturday Hostess Beverly from "How Sweet the Sound" and all the other wonderful posts!

Louis Vuitton - NYC Fifth Avenue Windows

I see "Polka Dots"! Louis Vuitton the Famous "Fifth Avenue" at the corner of 57th Street in NYC is covered in black and white polka dots. Standing in the front window is a replica of Yayoi Kusama (Artist). She reminds me of Andy Warhol and as I read about who she is I discovered that they were good friends. I just love these windows, they make me smile as I pass by on my way to work everyday!

Louis Vuitton window displays at its flagship store on Fifth Avenue in NYC is paying tribute to three of Yayoi Kusama signature designs - “Beginning of the Universe” - “Eternal Blooming Flowers in My Mind” & “Self Obliteration".

Debby Schuh NYC Tour and Workshop at Tinsel Trading

Last Year I went to TInsel Trading for a Debby Schuh workshop. I was so thrilled that she had some spaces available for just the workshop. I live in the suburbs of NYC and work in the City so did not want to do the tour part but let me tell you how jealous I was of all those people and all the fun places they got to go to! She is doing the Tour/Workshop again and I highly recommend that if you can go you should. Even if you have never been to NY and have noone to travel with do it. Everyone in that group was so loving and so sweet. It is a wonderful experience and Marcia from Tinsel Trading is a wonderful Hostess. Debby's workshop had so many extras and the project was darling. So read below and I hope that you can sign up for the last few spots she has. It really is worth it.

From Debby:    One of my favorite things to do is to go to New York City as it puts on its holiday finery and sparkles with the lights and decorations of the Christmas season! For the last two years and again THIS year, I'll be leading a lovely group of ladies on a tour of some of my favorite spots in the city and best of all, spending an evening in Tinsel Trading Company, where we'll create and shop and eat and have the store all to ourselves once again!
There are eighteen ladies signed up so far and just seven more spots left, so I thought I'd open it up to anyone who might not have had the opportunity to sign up yet. All the information is on the trip blog... you can access it by clicking here. You can email me with any questions you have at memorybee@msn.com. We've had a marvelous time the last two years... we can't wait to get together again and would love to have you join us!
We come from all over the country (and sometimes the world!) and make new friends...
