Halloween Spooky Brownstone in NYC 2013

Halloween is not only for the Suburbs it is Creeping up in NYC on 72nd and Madison (between Madison and Park Ave). It was so "creepy" watching an old woman rock in her chair a Mummy Bride with red eyes that see right through you and her hanging boyfriend shaking to his death...I guess he couldn't commit. The best part is that for a second as you stare at this pretty Brownstone you forget where you are, then you look to the side you are surrounded by big apartment buildings, Laduree around the corner and Ralph Lauren across the street and you smile because you are in Halloween Manhattan, NYC. Well they say we have alot of "strange characters here so this house fits right in.....Brooooohahaha!

WE-dnesday - ME Time

Have you ever heard: "You think too much"  I want to scream back, yes but I also love too much and put others before ME too much ! I would be proud saying that but should I? Recently I found myself so hurt and upset frustrated and tired and no matter how I tried hard to get my point across on "ME" and my feelings I got talked down too and I let it happen. "WE" are women we are strong and fierce but can turn into a weak helpless soul. I decided I need to stop complaining and letting people make me weak, wait stop that ..... No-one make you weak, no-one makes you do or not do anything if "WE" do not give them the power. I leave you with that thought for now and my hope is that I (ME/WE) can be strong, dream our dreams and do and worry about ourselves harder than we do what others see, feel say and do to us!

My ME , WE-densday purchase is from QVC - New Beauty Magazine and Test Tube.  There are so many samples and full sized products. I am on Auto-Delivery and it is a new adventure and escape everytime! I love New Beauty Magazine, it has so many articles on products how to use them and little tricks and tips.

Most of you read my blog and do not leave comments and I wanted to share a new e-mail address for you to contact me (pinkdaisyluv40@yahoo.com) and ask questions on what would Pink In The City do; in work situations in some dating issues and just random Girlfriend questions. I am just Blogger not a "Trained Expert" but sometimes WE need our Girlfriends for advice not a trained expert! I will save that for the therapist. WE all need to stick together and take time to take care of "ME"... See you next WE-dnesday! xoox

Some Supermarket Cuties

Some Supermarket Cuties.. Usually if I have to go to the Supermarket I run in and out and one day I just wandered around and found some cute things. I did not buy them I just took pictures. Can I tell you I thought some women were about to call the man with the straight jacket to come get me! Ahaha This 1 older woman turned to a man and said "Oh No now she is opening the freezer taking pictures of Ice Cream!" I think she was 100. Do you go to your Supermarket and take pictures?

Martha Stewart - American Made 2013 - What Did Martha Say Now?

Martha Stewart "American Made" in Grand Central Vanderbilt Hall was back again from October 16 to October 17 from 8:30am to 7:30pm. There were so many fabulous vendors all "American Made" products. It was fun to see some old friends like Crystal and her husband from "Vintage by Crystal" and Nancy from "Parcel" and meet some new friends. Martha and her "Support Team" were great as usual. The craft team were lots of fun helping us make bracelets and molding clay and using punches. There were seminars that you had to pre-order, hopefully next year I can attend.

Martha showing us the right way to pack

We got to stick a star on our home city - Who was the most popular?
New York - most popular!

(L) Charles "Charlito" - Owner of Charlito's Cocina -  his Dad (C) and his Friend (R)
I met Charles the Owner of "Charlito Cocina" and his Dad and Friend and I have to tell you I did not think I would be so excited about "Cured Meat" ok fancy proper name "Charcuterie"! I am Italian and I remember as a little girl the elders of the family made the cured meats and now there are so many young people keeping up with all the past arts of the kitchen. Here is a young man who has a passion for Charcuterie and makes the most amazing flavors. I tried Beer, Truffle and Plain Cured Sausage. I of course bought the Truffle but they were all amazing. Definitely will pick a few up during the Holidays to make gift baskets and serve at cocktail parties.

Cyndi - Ken Freeman creator of "Vermont Rolling Pins"
Ken Freeman's creations are gorgeous. It is so difficult to pick a favorite one. I looked down at Ken's hands and he proudly showed me what love and passion he has for creating these rolling pins. Every scar every bruise had a story of the creation he had made. To think how many Grandmothers, Mothers, Aunts, Uncles, Chefs would use this to make their own beautiful tasty creation. These would make a great Holiday or any day gift for someone you love. (Vermont Rolling Pins)

Shane Confectionery, PA

Sweet! What else can I say about Shane Confectionery? This young adorable girl could have sold me the Brooklyn Bridge. She was as Sweet as the Sweet candy and chocolate covered pretzels. The candies are molded in vintage forms and look too cute to eat but I bought a few turkeys and ate 1 and must say it was so worth it. I must go visit them in Philadelphia.

Sugar Witches

Julie Nolan Jewelry - based on a 19th century Swiss calendar of the constellations of the Zodiac

This photo came out worse than the others I think I need to get a professional Cannon and learn how to use it!! But the blurriness of this photo is not my fault! The woman trying to hide made a big deal out of not being in the photo. I asked first and the gentleman said yes I still wanted to post because the jewelry was like nothing I had seen before and wish I would have purchased a few for myself and as gifts. The jewelry is based on a 19th Century Swiss calendar of the constellations of the Zodiac.

What Martha Said about Bloggers: “Who are these bloggers? They aren’t trained editors at Vogue magazine.” Ha! Neither was she...... I am not an angry blogger. I do not consider myself an expert in anything not even of my own life. This "blog" is mine and I chose to post or not about randomness of my life. Boring, fun, bad photo's....definately! I personally don't like her blog. It is too sterile could have her logo and a little more content. I like you Martha no matter what you say. So bloggers keep blogging away and have fun!!
