Martha Stewart American Made
I attended the Inaugural Martha Stewart American Made Awards, Vendor Fair in Vanderbilt Hall in the Landmark Grand Central Station. There were so many vendors with their "American Made" items and lots of fun activities also. There was a station to try Martha Stewart punches and also to use her clay molds. I of course made a pink cupcake. I finally got to meet Crystal from "Vintage By Crystal", in person after purchasing so many items on line from her. All the vendors had such fabulous things.

Pink Saturday - Shopping for Treasures
Happy Pink Saturday! I am sharing some fun PINK Treasures I bought and received this week. Tis the Season for Shopping as you know! lol My pictures do not do these treasures any justice at all. The Glitterfarm Organic Glamour Crate made of wood are fabulous. The top is a silver color and the bottom a pink! The pretty Pink pastry box held my gorgeous Marie Antoinette doll created by the very talented Toni Kelly from her Etsy Shop "Sugar Cookies Dolls & Jewels". She also sent some extra little goodies for me to create with. both of these are amazing and fun. I can not wait to place Marie Antoinette on my "Marie" Tree!
Please visit Beverly from "How Sweet the Sound" and all the wonderful Pink Saturday posts and join in on the Pink Party. xoox

NY Democracy Plaza - Hurricane Sandy
Hurricane Sandy Came in like a Witch on her broom waiting to destroy all. Sounds like a bad version of the Wizard of Oz! My Family and I are well. I did not have power for a week, no generator or fireplace but when the power truck came finally it was like New Years Eve. We all ran to thank the utility workers who came to help from another State! My dad is 82 Years Young and my mom 72 and they were cold but not complaining, from the radio and from calls from friends on our cell phones we heard of friends families and friends that had lost everything. My brother and his family live in NJ right by Seaside Heights and were devastated by the total destruction of the boardwalk and peoples homes and lives. They were spared and a little inconvenience of coldness we would all accept. I have other pictures of uprooted trees that I will post soon but I wanted to share 2 pictures of The New York Magazine Cover that shows Manhattan half "dark" and of a crane on 57th Street dangling from the largest most prestigious residential building.
(NY Times Story) The picture I took Wednesday after the storm.
Today is the Presidential Election and Rockefeller Plaza is ready for full coverage and lots of activities and giveaways along with NBC and Windows 8 to motivate us to get out and "Rock our Vote"!
